For 4 weeks, on a Tuesday evening, children/young people aged between 12 and 16 will come together at Wakefield’s Riding School for the Disabled Association. Over the course of the 4 weeks, children/young people will learn new skills, such as how to groom a pony, how to lead a pony around a course, how to get on and off a pony, and much more. By working with pony’s, the children/young people can develop skills such as communication, self-control, problem solving and accountability, as well as improving their self-esteem, empathy, flexibility and independence
