Star Bereavement is a specialist and innovative children and young people’s Bereavement Service that supports children, young adults (3-25 years) and families across the Wakefield District, affected by the death of a person important to them, addressing their needs in ways that are compassionate, comprehensive, and accessible.

Youth Worker/ Senior Group Worker
We are seeking to appoint a passionate, skilled and experienced Youth Worker / Senior Group Worker:
- To design and deliver a regular cross District programme of group work activities, to include evening, weekend, and holiday provision.
- To work as part of the community based Star Bereavement team to improve outcomes for children and young people who are disadvantaged by bereavement.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
You will need to work at times that suit young people - mainly evenings, weekends and school holidays
Contract: 3 years
Salary: £23,000-£26,000
Base: Star Bereavement, 11 Upper York Street, Wakefield WF1 3LQ
Delivery: Across the Wakefield District

Project Support Officer
We are seeking to appoint a skilled and experienced Project Support Officer.
You will:
Provide a general business and administrative support service to the Star Bereavement Team
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Some evening work required
Contract: Initially one year from starting date with likelihood to extend for a further 2 years
Salary: £21,000-£24,000
Base: Star Bereavement, 11 Upper York Street, Wakefield WF1 3LQ
